Rice with beef and mushroom sauce and lotus seed

Ingredients
  • 3bowls rice
  • 50gram fresh lotus seed
  • 200gram beef
  • 1 egg
  • 100gram cauliflower
  • 100gram straw mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 shallots
  • 10gram cornstarch
  • water
  • 1 1/2tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4tsp MSG(monosodium glutamate)
  • 4tbsp cooking oil
Instructions
  1. Slice beef into thin slices. Marinate the beef with soy sauce and MSG for about 20 minutes.
  2. Pound garlic and shallots. Cut straw mushrooms in half. Cut cauliflower into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Dissolve cornstarch with some cool water.
  4. Put 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan with ½ of crushed garlic and shallots, add rice, and stir well. When the rice is slightly dry, add the egg. Using a shovel to break the egg yolks, and stir well so that the eggs stick around the rice grains. Season with ½ teaspoon of salt, continue to stir and then turn off the heat.
  5. Put 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in another saucepan with the remaining garlic and shallots. Add lotus seeds, cauliflower, beef and mushrooms in turn. Add water, bring to a boil. Season with 1 teaspoon of salt. Finally, add the corn starch dissolved in water to the pan, continue stirring until the paste becomes a sauce, then turn off the heat.
  6. Arrange the rice on a plate, sprinkle the beef with mushroom sauce on top, sprinkle with pepper.
