Sour soup with strabismus fish and starfruit
Sour soup with strabismus fish and starfruit with the sour taste from green starfruits. This dish is probably not new to you. But to cook a good pot of soup, sometimes you might not know how to measure the ingredients properly so I can give you a hand!

Ingredients
To marinate fish
  • 1 strabismus fish (about 300g, after scraping, we get 200g of fish meat)
  • 3 tsp fish sauce
  • 1,5 tsp cookies
  • ¼ tsp ground coffee
  • 1 pinch MSG
  • 2 stalks dill
To cook the soup
  • 1,2 liters water
  • 35ml fish sauce
  • ½ tsp MSG
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 100gr dill
  • 60gr green onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 5 green starfruits
  • 1 - 2 chili
Instructions
  1. Mix the marinating ingredients with the fish meat and marinate for 15 minutes. Note: apply evenly for about 10 minutes to make the fish meat tougher.
  2. Slice starfruits into thin slices. Cut each tomato into 6-8 pieces. Cut dill and onions into pieces about 5-6cm long.
  3. Boil water. Put the fish meat in a piping bag and squeeze out each small fish ball with the size of a fingertip into the pot of water. Add starfruits. Season with fish sauce, MSG, and sugar.
  4. • Add tomatoes, dill, and green onions in turn. Turn off the heat. Add a few slices of chili.
  5. If you are not going to eat it right after cooking, you can prepare the pot of soup first, when you are going to eat, you heat the pot and add tomatoes, dill and green onions. This is how to keep the color of the soup fresh.
