Stewed pork with ginkgo fruits (Thịt kho bạch quả)
  • 200gr bacon
  • 100gr ginkgo fruits
  • 5 anise flowers
  • 20gr shiitake mushrooms (dried)
  • 2 shallots
  • 6tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp white wine
  • 300ml fresh coconut water
  1. Soak the shiitake mushrooms in warm water until the mushrooms rise, drain the water and let dry.
  2. Peel ginkgo fruits and remove the shells, keep the flesh.
  3. Shred shallots.
  4. Marinate the bacon with soy sauce, shallots, white wine for about 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. Put the pork in a pot, stir until the meat is cooked evenly.
  6. Add coconut water to boil, then skim off the scum and reduce the heat, boil until the water has drained to two-thirds.
