Our beautiful kitchen

I think any kitchen that is cared for with love is beautiful. And if you want to have a pretty kitchen, aesthetically, that’s not that difficult. Today I will share a few tips to decorate the kitchen, maybe after reading, you will have a good idea to make your kitchen more sparkling?!

1. . LIGHT IN THE KITCHEN. I like to use yellow light because yellow light always creates a cozy feeling. Moreover, yellow light enhances the advantages and cover the defects of the kitchen. Each meal, you sit in a space with soft light, enjoying good music. Isn’t it romantic?

2. SAY NO TO PLASTIC AND NYLON, OR MUST USE PREMIUM PLASTIC. The rare things made of plastic in my house are probably trash bags, cream-catching bags, and thin gloves (sometimes needed), spice package (prepackaged). There are almost no plastic jars, plastic bottles, or plastic jars. If so, it is because we haven’t thrown it away. Firstly, most plastic items made from disposable plastic are not safe for health. Secondly, the color of cheap plastic doesn’t look good. If you use plastic, you should use high-quality plastic. The high-end plastic company I believe in is Tupperware Vietnam: safe materials, reusable, beautiful colors, and each model is designed and researched carefully for specific uses. As for vegetables washing baskets, dish baskets, I bought them in Japanese shops: elegant design, nice colors, and good quality.

3. USE NATURE-FRIENDLY ITEMS. Items with natural materials always bring a pleasant feeling to the viewer. For example, the basket in the picture. The basket has a fine mesh with tender colors, which is both decorative and helpful (to help me classify kitchen utensils). We also have a basket of knives, a basket of spoons, a basket for baking molds, spice basket (onions, garlic, fresh peppers or packaged spices). Vietnam has the strength of making products of rattan – bamboo – sedge – water hyacinth, although there are not various designs and designs are a bit boring, we can still find beautiful items from export shops. Wooden handles, wooden ladles, wooden spoons with hanging hooks can also be used as decorations for a more beautiful kitchen corner.

4. GREEN CORNER IN THE KITCHEN. A kitchen overlooking the balcony or a door leading to the garden will give you a refreshing feeling. My kitchen is small but from there, I can see the balcony where my husband grows a lot of spice plants and the sun shines beautifully in the day time. If your house does not have a nice kitchen direction, you can still put some small spice plants pots or display a flowerpot on the kitchen table ỏ kitchen shelf! The kitchen will be more lively and lovely.

5. EACH ITEM SHOULD BE BEAUTIFUL TO CREATE A BEAUTIFUL OVERALL. You can start by collecting bowls, plates, glasses, pots, and pans of strange and beautiful designs. “All great things have small beginnings” – I always keep this in mind. When we moved into our new home, the kitchen was empty, but after 4 years, it was stuffy like this which was because we collected everything little by little day after day. You can choose items with the same style to suit your kitchen, but not necessarily all of the same set. I’m a person who gets bored easily so I don’t like what happens many times, I don’t like the things which look the same, I like diversity so that sometimes I can be silly and surprised “oh, I have this lovely thing in my kitchen?!” (haha). This depends on each person. But I think if you used to choose the safe options for your kitchen before, try to change your habit. Maybe you will find happiness while thinking “what plate should I choose for the steak”?! Let me advertise a little bit here: “Nhà Có Hai Người” Store of ours has a lot of nice kitchen utensils. Whenever you have time, remember to visit it. In summary, when every item is beautiful, suddenly it will create a nice space. Sometimes you might create a mess, and not yet tidy up, it is still not so “terrible”.

6. “IF YOU DO NOT TRY, YOU WON’T KNOW IF IT IS OK”. There were times when I think, “Oh, I want to have a blue kitchen, but I probably can’t do it huhuhu” or “I wonder if it is weird to put a mirror in the kitchen”. But he told me “You won’t know if you don’t try it!”. Every time we have an idea, we try it together, look at it, maybe we had to change the paint color because the paint we chose were unlike what we originally imagined. But it is true that “if you do not try, you won’t know if it is ok”. Try throwing away all the rules and putting your own personality into the kitchen. Aesthetically, your kitchen might not be the most beautiful in the eyes of many people, but it will be the kitchen that fits you and your own identity.

7. BE NEAT! BE NEAT! My kitchen is used both to cook the meals for us every day, both as a filming studio for food clips, so we have to store lots and lots of items in a super-small space (less than 20 square meters). So definitely, things must be arranged as neatly as possible to make it easy to find and not to make the already small space smaller. I used to be very clumsy, but after a few years, my husband trained me, I am getting used to clean and arrange my kitchen (my husband used to do that all by himself. He always cleaned and complaint hehe). And I feel a neat kitchen will bring comfortable feeling when we are there to cook or prepare the meal.

You can ask an architect or an interior designer to help you create a good space, or you can try according to your feeling and compassion for the kitchen where you stay everyday to cook happy good meals. The second way is not very difficult, I swear
