Ingredients
- 2pieces beef tenderloin (tenderloin or loin, thickness of about 2.5 - 3cm)
- 1 zucchini
- some baby carrots
- 1 onion
- BBQ sauce
- soy sauce
- balsamic vinegar
- salt, pepper, olive oil
Instructions
- Use a tissue to dry the piece of beef. Marinate the beef with salt and pepper and gently rub with your hands to allow the spices to be absorbed into the meat.
- Cut zucchini into bite-sized pieces.
- Thinly slice onion.
- Put olive oil in a pan. Add the onion and stir well. After the onion is soft, add in BBQ sauce, soy sauce and balsamic vinegar (1:1 ratio). Depend on the taste of each type, you will add the amount of BBQ sauce to match your taste.
- Apply a layer of olive oil to two sides of the beef and vegetables.
- Apply a layer of oil to the pan surface. Wait until the pan is really hot and then fry each piece of meat. If you like to eat rare beefsteak, the frying time will be 2-3 minutes on each side; medium beefsteak will take about 4 minutes, and well-done beefsteak will take 5 minutes. When the steak is done, put the steak on the net to drain oil. Let the steak rest for 3-5 minutes before eating.
- Sauté the vegetables. To soften the zucchini, add a little olive oil.
- Arrange the steak and vegetables on a plate, sprinkle onion BBQ sauce on top and serve with bread.
