Marrying Young to Have More Time Together

When we got married, I was 23 and he was 30. No matter how I looked at it, that seemed far too early to marry, yet I never thought of choosing otherwise. The other day, I brought this up with him. And we concluded that marrying early was the way for the two of us to spend as much time together as possible. There are plenty of relationships that look almost like love. Turning that almost-love feeling into the real thing, you ask? Look at us, so full of trust and determination!

This year, we decided to shoot a vintage-style wedding album to make it a little different from previous years. But the wedding dress still came from Thuỵ Bridal – the place that has been with us since the very first days of our love. I will always remember (and keep retelling) the day he said something like “let’s get married”, I nodded right away, and he took my hand straight to Thuỵ Bridal to have my first wedding dress made. If you would like to read our love story from the day we met, you can find it in the book “Nhà có hai người” !

Because of that unforgettable memory, every few years the two of us head back to Thuỵ Bridal to choose a dress for our anniversary photos. Thuỵ Bridal’s gowns are always refined and alluring, with designs ranging from voluminous ball gowns fit for a princess to figure-hugging mermaid silhouettes that flatter every curve. Each dress is crafted with care, from premium fabrics to every detail of lace, beading or hand embroidery, creating a beauty that is both unique and elegant. Personally, I love plain bodices with just a few pearls as an accent.

Every time I put on a wedding dress, I feel giddy with happiness. I joked with a friend that a wedding dress only truly looks beautiful once you are past thirty. Real beauty radiates from a spirit that has tasted both sweetness and bitterness. Back then, wearing my first wedding dress, I still felt like such a child! But anyway, as I said above, we married early so we could have more time by each other’s side. If in our twenties we were still a little lost before the vastness of life, that was fine – we chose to grow up together!
